    City plans to raise taxes, utility rates

    City of Perry taxpayers and utility customers can expect to pay slightly higher bills in the upcoming year if a tentative budget and millage rate adopted by the city council last week is approved Sept. 22.

    City property owners can expect to see a 2.2% increase on the city portion of their annual property tax bill, while city water, sewer and garbage customers will pay from $1 to $3 more per month on their utility bills.
