    GP-Foley #2, #3 lines remain idle

    Three months after the local Georgia-Pacific (GP) Foley Cellulose mill announced it would reduce its workforce by 30% due to reduced product demand, global market conditions remain unchanged, and there is no timetable for when two of the three lines that were “temporarily idled” will resume production.

    As part of a recent update on the Foley Cellulose mill and the Fenholloway Pipeline Project, Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon conveyed that less than 10 of the 150 affected employees have been called back to work thus far.
