Judy Mae Tuten Bethea, 80, passed away at her home on Sept. 19, 2020 in Perry.
Judy was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Perry to Roy Henry Tuten and Minnie Mae Connell Tuten.
She attended and was a graduate of Taylor County High School. Judy was of the Assembly of God faith, and a longtime and faithful member of the First Assembly of God of Perry.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, playing games on her iPad, listening to gospel music and going to the Taylor County Senior Center in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Roy and Minnie Tuten; her husband, L.B. Bethea Jr.; two brothers, Roy “Buddy” Tuten and Wayne Tuten; and a sister, JoAnn Woods.
She is survived by; her daughter, Gail Tuten, and husband, Benjye, of Perry; her son, Jeffrey Bryan Bethea, and wife, Laurie, of Freeland, Md.; a sister, Sara Cook of Perry; three grandchildren, Andrea Morton, Ben Tuten and Wil Tuten; six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Ava, Amelia, Hendrix, Benjamin, and Gentry; and a special niece, Melissa Krejcar; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Pridgeon officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Warrior Church of Christ Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
