If you requested a mail ballot, it’s likely on its way

Although the Nov. 3 general election is still weeks away, nearly 3,400 vote-by-mail ballots are being mailed out this week to those who requested them.

“Vote by Mail ballots are being mailed today and will continue to be mailed over the next several days,” Taylor County Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland said Thursday. “Please be sure you sign the Voter’s Certificate located on the outside of the return envelope. Be sure you sign your own envelope. Do not let someone else sign your return envelope for you. We verify each signature on a returned envelope with the signature we have of record for that voter.”
