Driggers named ‘Farm Family of the Year’

Johnnie (right) and Annette (left) Driggers said they consider themselves stewards of the land, working to “leave it a little better than we found it to hand down to the next generation.” Their “next generation” is grandson Jake (center), who is eight.

Annette Driggers’s deep love of the land is something she learned from her grandparents, Leonard “R.T” and Shelly Mae Sheffield of Shady Grove.

“I have just always followed in his footsteps,” Driggers said of her grandfather. “I never wanted anything else.”
