American Legion Post #291 is honoring Taylor County veterans with a dinner on Sunday, Nov. 8, in addition to lining the streets of Steinhatchee with crosses and flags.
The dinner will span Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and is free to American Legion members.
Non-members can purchase a dinner for $7, which includes appetizers, pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans and a dessert.
No RSVP is required.
The dinner will take place at American Legion Post #291, located at 220 11th Street East in Steinhatchee.
Local Steinhatchee American Legion members and volunteers lined the streets of Steinhatchee with crosses and flags to honor local veterans.
This week, more than a dozen members and volunteers began placing the white crosses and American flags along Steinhatchee roadways.
The crosses and flags will remain up until after Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
