Smith: football players make ‘great progress’

Taylor County Bulldogs’ Head Coach Ryan Smith has seen participation increase and several players step up and lead by example in the past week, as football players continue to work out during and after school in preparation for the 2013 season.

One week after only a few players were able to complete four sets, Darrell Cook, Davonte Fudge and Evan Grambling impressed coaches this past Friday by completing a record number of “Beau’s Boys” tire pulls. All three Bulldogs churned out 12 sets of 40-yard sprints pulling a large log truck tire to lead all 38 players who made at least 6 sets of tire pulls.
