Flags flying over city and county buildings were lowered to half-staff and courthouse offices were closed to allow employees to pay tribute to veteran Clerk of the Court Annie Mae Murphy, who was laid to rest on Thursday.
In honor of Murphy, a 57-year public servant who served the last 28 years as clerk, the City of Perry joined the county in lowering flags to half-staff.
