    Elections ‘smooth’ despite record turnout

    Despite record turnout, including the most early votes and mail ballots ever recorded in Taylor County, the full unofficial results from Tuesday night’s general election were available 53 minutes after the polls closed.

    Based on the unofficial results, 79.4% of Taylor County’s 12,779 registered voters participated in the election, amounting to a total of 10,152 ballots cast.
