When Century Ambulance Service takes over emergency medical services (EMS) in Taylor County, the cost will be $367,000 more per year than the subsidy the county currently provides Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH).
The difference will come from the county’s existing one-cent sales tax, after the Taylor County Commission unanimously agreed last week to amend the ordinance governing how those funds could be spent.
