Demps is new county commission chairman

Taylor County Commissioner Thomas Demps, who is starting his second term in office representing District 5, will serve as commission chair for the upcoming year.

Demps was elected chairman by his fellow commissioners during the board’s re-organization, which was held at the start of Tuesday’s commission meeting. He succeeds Commissioner Pam Feagle, who had held the position for the past four years.
