Ms. Shirley Mae Ratliff Morris, 74, passed away on Nov. 27, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Lake City following an extended illness.
Shirley was born Nov. 30, 1945, in Frostproof to Raiford Raymond Ratliff and Martha Corinne Brannen Ratliff.
She was a lifelong homemaker who was a loving mother and grandmother to her family. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Raiford and Corinne Ratliff; her husband, Tom Collins; two brothers, Johnny Ratliff and Sonja Ray Ratliff; and a grandson, Jarod Freed.
She is survived by: one son, Howard “Junior” Morris Jr. of Swainsboro, Ga.; four daughters, Angie Wright, and husband, Danny, Deborah Strickland, and husband, Johnny and Marie Coxville, all of Perry, and Lori Weekly of Jasper; two brothers, Randy Ratliff, and Gary Ratliff, both of Perry; two sisters, Faye Combass of Jasper, and Dianne Floyd of Perry; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family held a memorial service at 6 p.m. On Tuesday Dec. 1, at Antioch Revival Center. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. Friends may send condolences to the family at www.joepburnsfuneralhomes.com.
