William Wayne Burroughs, 79, of Sevier County, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020. Wayne was born in Shamrock, Fla., on Oct. 31, 1941.
He was the son to late Herbert and Grace Burroughs, and brother to his beloved sister, Betty Jo Howell. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served with honor. He was also a Florida State University graduate.
He leaves behind two sons and two daughters-in-law, Chris and Staci Burroughs, Scott and Sonya Burroughs; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Chuck Bracey; eight grandchildren and one grandson-in-law, Ashley and Preston Webb, Christopher Burroughs, Brittany Bracey, Chrissy Vance, Kaitlyn Burroughs, Sierra Burroughs, Deanna Bracey and Seth Burroughs; and two great-grandchildren, Ada Vance and Ryot Bracey.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. at Carlton Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Hiers officiating.
