Registration deadline is extended for Gingerbread House Workshop

The deadline to register for the third annual Gingerbread House Workshop has been extended to this Friday, Dec. 4.

The event is limited to the first 30 participants, ages three to 13.

The registration fee is $10 per child. The workshop, hosted by Taylor County’s UF IFAS Extension, will be held in conjunction with the Taylor County Historical Society’s Downtown Christmas Celebration planned Friday, Dec. 11.

“Earl Swann is donating the use of his downtown venue located at 200 North Washington Street (former Town Square) for the workshop. We will be adhering to CDC COVID guidelines and masks are required,” 4-H Extension Agent Abbey Tharpe said.

Registration forms are available at Swann Insurance (105 1/2 North Jefferson Street).

Events sponsors include Swann Insurance and the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce.
