Christmas magic is in the air, and the Taylor County Historical Society wants to help everyone create a stocking-full of happy holiday memories.
Historical Society volunteers will host the Downtown Christmas Celebration on Friday, Dec. 11, starting at 6 p.m. featuring inactive walk-thru Christmas displays and a live nativity set up in the back parking lot of the Taylor County Courthouse.
Organizations who would like to host a Christmas display are invited to contact Historical Society President Angela M. Castelucci at (850) 672-9091.
“We are following CDC-recommended guidelines in order to make sure we are celebrating safely,” Castelucci said.
Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa and hand-deliver them via a special “Candy Cane Express” mail drop.
There will also be a tree-lighting ceremony and a face mask decorating contest.
“However, due to COVID, we will not be having any vendors this year,” Castelucci said.
