Busy hurricane season spares Taylor

Monday marked the official end of the record-breaking 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, which produced 20 named storms — 12 of which made landfall somewhere along the continental United States.

Taylor County escaped the worst of what the season had to offer, instead only dealing with several bouts of heavy rainfall and some minor storm surge events.
