First a dip, then a sinkhole

Crews working to repair a “dip” in the northbound lanes of Highway 19 South found themselves facing a much more serious issue when a sinkhole opened up Wednesday under the area they were working.

Traffic has been re-routed around the construction, and the current traffic pattern is expected to remain in place through the weekend. The site will be reevaluated Monday.
