Citing hazardous conditions and a history of fatality crashes, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has agreed to resurface and widen Johnson Stripling Road at no cost to Taylor County.
Last week, the Taylor County Commission unanimously approved a construction and maintenance agreement with FDOT, under which the state agency will assume ownership of the roadway during the construction project and then turn it back over to the county upon the work’s completion.
