With the beleaguered resurfacing project on Foley Cut-Off Road months behind schedule and currently at a complete standstill, the Taylor County Commission is attempting to find a way forward that will see the work completed in a timely fashion without costing local taxpayers hundreds of thousands in additional expenses.
At its Monday evening meeting, the county commission received an update from County Engineer Kenneth Dudley, County Administrator LaWanda Pemberton and County Attorney Conrad Bishop, who collectively outlined several possible options, each with pros and cons in terms of money and time.
