    Perry fills missing ‘Park & Plug’ piece of Hwy. 19 puzzle

    Local officials cheered Tuesday as Duke Energy Florida State President Catherine Stempien cut the ribbon on Perry’s new electric vehicle charging station located on a city-owned lot downtown just behind the Taylor County Courthouse.

    With a ribbon-cutting ceremony held here Tuesday, downtown Perry officially became one of the last “missing puzzle pieces” for electric vehicle owners needing to charge their batteries when driving from Tampa to Tallahassee on U.S. Highway 19/98.

    Duke Energy Florida State President Catherine Stempien joined City of Perry, Chamber of Commerce and Taylor County officials for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the installation of the new electric vehicle (EV) charging station located on a city-owned lot behind the Taylor County Courthouse.
