    Charles F. Hobart

    Charles F. Hobart of Lake City passed away on Nov. 28, 2020.

    He was 82 years old.

    Charlie was born in Terra Ceia, Fla., to Lewis and Rena Mae Hobart.

    He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years.

    After he retired from the Air Force, he moved to Perry and became a commercial fisherman.

    He eventually moved to Live Oak before settling in Lake City.

    Charles was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

    He is survived by: two sons, Gary Hobart of Wellborn and Glenn and Wilhelmina Hobart of New Smyrna Beach; a daughter, Belinda and Ronnie Wright of Perry; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Coxwell of Lake City; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a sister, Jerry McDonald.

    Charles is predeceased by: his wife, Ester L. Hobart (Lynn); his son, Wendell Heart; his parents, Lewis and Rena Mae Hobart; his brother, Buddy Hobart; and sisters, Rena Lingo and Virginia Johnson.

    No memorial services are planned per his request.
