Fundraiser set Dec. 19 for 13-year-old battling brain infection

Community members are hosting a chicken dinner fundraiser this Saturday for 13-year-old Joshua Napier, who is fighting for his life after recently developing a brain infection.

The fundraiser will be held in the Save-a-Lot parking lot from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. All contributions will go to the Napier family, who are currently traveling between Perry and Gainesville while caring for five other young children, while Joshua is being treated for meningitis
