    Personnel, salary talks held outside of Sunshine Law?

    While state law allows a school board to meet in executive session to discuss legal strategy or union negotiations, there are a limited number of exemptions which allow a meeting to be closed to the public.

    The Taylor County School Board’s recent discussion of proposed salary increases for administrative level employees does not appear to be exempt from open meeting requirements, according to legal experts in open government and Government in the Sunshine laws.
