Samuel Austin Jr.

Samuel Austin Jr. was born April 16, 1971, to Samuel Austin Sr. and Henrietta Austin in Perry.

He was educated in the public school system of Perry, and was formerly employed as a concrete cutter. He enjoyed spending his leisure time with family and friends.

He departed this life on Dec. 10, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his father,Samuel Austin Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Kenlyn Victoria Cain-Austin; eight children, Tanesha Turner, LaKendrick Austin, Sambrina Austin,  Samuel Austin III, Simone Austin, Damarion Williams, Austin McLymont and Sedrick Austin; his mother, Henrietta Austin; two grandchildren, Kaydance Turner and Christian Solis-Turner; and brothers and sisters, Frank Johnson, Barbara (Thomas) Purvis, Sheila Austin and Jerome Marshal (Tabitha) Flowers; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. At New Zion Cemetery in Greenville.

To promote safety, everyone is required to wear a face mask.
