Taylor County officials have declared the company hired to complete the ill-fated Foley Cut-Off resurfacing project is in default of its contract and will seek financial compensation from the bond company that insured the work.
The Taylor County Commission unanimously agreed this week to send a letter detailing why Pigott Asphalt and Sitework, LLC is in default of its contract after the company rejected a proposed compromise deal approved by the commission earlier this month.
