Approximately six months after temporarily idling two of three production lines and laying off or eliminating nearly 30% of its workforce, Georgia-Pacific (GP) has announced plans to return the local Foley Cellulose mill back to full operation by mid-February 2021.
The local mill has already called approximately 20 employees back to work over the last several months to support production on Foley’s #1 mill, which has continued to operate, as well as to re-start Line 3, which is now fully operational.
