Fiddler Festival moves ahead

Organizers are moving forward with the 13th annual Fiddler Crab Festival scheduled for next month in Steinhatchee after the Taylor County Commission voted 4-1 Monday night to allow the event to continue.

The festival, which is held President’s Day weekend (Feb. 12-14), typically draws thousands of people to the coastal community and is a major economic driver for local businesses during the tourist offseason.
