Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) Principal Kiki Mantzanas Puhl received an early Christmas present when Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. made the surprise announcement on Dec. 16 that she had been named the school district’s “Principal of the Year.”

Puhl’s reaction was indicative of the philosophy which led to the honor – “This award really should go to my teachers, support staff and the students who have believed in my ideas and supported me as their leader. I accept this honor on behalf of my entire team that stands with me to meet whatever challenge comes our way,” she said.
