Serial killer case closed

The local State Attorney’s Office has officially closed its file on prolific serial killer Samuel “Sam” Little, essentially dropping first-degree murder charges pending against him for the 1993 murder of 19-year-old Ruby Lane.

Tuesday’s move came just a few weeks after Little’s death on Dec. 20 in a California prison where he was serving three consecutive life sentences.
