    Diana Dickert James

    Diana (Dina) Dickert James, 52, passed away peacefully at her home in Monticello on Jan. 4, 2021.

    Born Aug. 19, 1968, Dina was the daughter of John and Gale Dickert. She grew up in Perry and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She graduated from Aucilla Christian Academy and attended North Florida Community College.

    A highly respected Regulatory Program Administrator with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Dina recently retired after nearly 30 years of dedicated service to the State of Florida.

    Dina enjoyed gardening, traveling and camping on the Gulf. Even during her most difficult times, Dina was quick to offer an encouraging word; to lend a helping hand. She inspired and lifted the spirits of other cancer survivors.

    Determined to live life to its fullest, her laughter, joyous spirit and infinite courage will be remembered by all who loved her.

    Survivors include: her husband, Mike James; daughters, Danielle Merritt (Clyde) and Heather James; granddaughters, Caroline and Emma Merrritt of Monticello; her parents, John and Gale

    Dickert; sister, Lisa Flournoy (Jim) and nephews, Jim and John Flournoy of Madison.

    She was predeceased in death by her brother, Doug Dickert.

    A graveside service will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Oakfield Cemetery in Monticello.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. James Episcopal Church, 1100 West Green St., Perry, FL 32347.

    Masks are kindly requested to be worn. Beggs Monticello Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
