Carolyn Marie Ellison

Carolyn Marie Ellison, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 3, 2021, in Perry.

She was born Oct. 24, 1975, in Perry to Gene Russell and Eloise King Navarro.

She was a Baptist and had attended Calvary Baptist Church. Carolyn worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the home healthcare field.

She was a loving and kind soul that took joy in helping others who needed the assistance. She loved all kinds of music. Recently, she took up arts and crafts, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Ben Anderson Jr., and her parents, Gene Russell and Eloise Navarro.

She is survived by: her husband, Henry Ellison; her son, Blake Anderson; stepsons, Levi and Holden Ellison; her brothers, Edward Russell, Wayne Russell and Gene Russell; and a grandson that she adored, Weston Anderson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life was held Thursday, Jan. 7, by her immediate family at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Ben Kimmell officiating.

In her memory, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
