On Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, Sharon Harty, loving sister and mother of three children passed away peacefully at the age of 75 in Perry.

    Born Sept. 7, 1945 in Franklin, N.J.

Sharon had three children with Richard Cron of Montague. Their children were sons, Richard Cron and Robert Cron, and daughters, Sharyl Paul.

In 1987 she moved to Greeley Pennsylvania with her husband, Gilbert Harty. Sharon and Gilbert made a beautiful life for her children, who Gilbert considered as his own.

Her children are all married now and lead successful lives with their spouses: Sharyl and Donald Paul from Hawley, Pa., Robert and Donna Cron from Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and Richard and Debbie Cron from Montague, N.J.

Sharon has six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Robert LaBar from Newton, N.J., and a brother, Robert LaBar from Sussex, N.J.

Sharon was one of four children. Her two sisters, Roberta Saunders and Beverly Willard, were her best friends in childhood, and the bond only continued to grow stronger throughout their lives.

In 2011, Sharon decided she could not be without them any longer and moved to Perry just to be with her sisters.

Their sisterly bond is so strong that Sharon will be looking down upon her family and watching over them from Heaven.

Sharon loved to spend her time being creative, making crafts, sewing and gardening. To all who have been blessed to have known Sharon, we share in your grief by her passing.

She will be cremated by Burns Funeral in Perry.

In lieu of flowers, donations and sympathy cards can be sent to her daughter: Sharyl Paul, 65 Juneberry Dr., Hawley, PA 18428.

Sharon’s family would appreciate any memories of her to be sent to her daughter’s address and Sharyl Paul can be contacted at (570) 647-5670.
