James Wade Hendry

Mr. James Wade Hendry, 59, passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, in Gainesville.

He was born in Perry on Jan. 25, 1962, to James Vernice Hendry and Janice Faye Whiddon Hendry.

Mr. Hendry was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He loved to cook, and he loved the World Wrestling Federation. He was very generous and would always be willing to help anyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by: his wife, Donna Hendry of Perry; one daughter, Patty Crews of Perry; five sisters, Barbara Hendry, Jackie Hendry, Sandra Roberts and Jan Page, all of Perry, and Sherry Anderson of Thomasville, Ga,; two brothers, Wylie Hendry of California and Willie Hendry of Perry; and a host of other relatives.

Since he loved big gatherings, the family is planning a family to get together and cook to honor him.
