With profound sadness we announce the passing of Carolyn Jean Brady, 82, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on Jan. 17, 2021, in Gainesville.

Carolyn was born Nov. 18, 1938, in Cairo, Ga., to Owen Prince and Eva Nell Griffin Prince.

She was employed by Crackin’ Good Bakery for 25 years.

Carolyn was a devoted member of the Abundant life Church of God. She was recognized for serving 40 years in ministry to very special students. Her gentle nature and unconditional love made her an angel here on earth.

She was an avid baseball fan. She loved to watch the Atlanta Braves. However, her favorite players to watch were her three boys and great-grandchildren.

She loved to travel. She also enjoyed gospel music and attending gospel singing.

Carolyn was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved her role as nanny.

Carolyn was preceded in death by: her parents, Owen Prince, Eva Nell and T.A Westberry; her great-grandson, Bryce Bobbitt; her sister-in-law, Virginia “Jink” Prince; and her niece, Lisa Prince.

Carolyn is survived by: her three sons, Mike Brady (Sherry), Johnny Brady (Dona) and Kenny Brady Sr. (Judy); grandchildren, Michael Brady, Daniel Brady, Kenny Brady Jr., Ray Brady, Eve McGuire, Ryan Brady, LaDonna LaValle, Patrick Carter and Peyton Carter; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Willene Westberry; brothers, O.C Prince, Vernon Prince (Jean) and Tommy Westberry (Elke); and special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jr. and Jean Brady; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at the Carter Cemetery, located at 769 Sardis Church Road in Lake Park, Ga., with Brother David McMullen and Wayne Hughes officiating. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
