Helen A. Smith

Mrs. Helen A. Smith, 88, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 1, 1932, to Cora Ellen Webb and Howard Moreland in Cedar Springs, Ga.

Mrs. Smith was a dedicated member of New Mt. Zion M.B. Church and served faithfully in several ministries of the church. She was also a missionary of the Taylor County Union, president of the Lily White and a member of the Hostess Club.

She loved her family and they loved her too.

Mrs. Smith leaves nine children to cherish her memory: Charles Montgomery (Addie), Mildred Brandon, the Rev. Izell Montgomery Jr., Minister Ellen Smith, Wilma Brown, Nathan Smith Jr.(Renee), Beverly Smith, Phyllis Smith and Conrad Smith; 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be today (Wednesday) from 5-6 p.m. At Trinity Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, at noon at Springhill Cemetery.

To promote safety, everyone is required to wear a face mask and social distant for the visitation and the graveside service.
