Caroline Hetzler George, 78, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, in Tallahassee. She was born April 10, 1942, in Tampa to Lonnie E. Wilson and Pauline Raulerson Wilson. Caroline was a Baptist and a member of Perry First Church of God. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. She enjoyed sewing and other arts and crafts.
She traveled aboard in her younger years, and worked as a secretary in Saudi Arabia. Being a strong woman, she also once worked as a roofer.
In her spare she liked to go fishing. What really fulfilled her was cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Ronald Hetzler II; her parents, Lonnie E. and Pauline Wilson; her brothers, Jimmy Wilson and Edward Wilson; and her sister, Ann Laccone. Mrs. George is survived by: her husband of 20 years, Mack George; her children, Laura Hetzler and Ronald Hetzler III; a brother, Dennis Wilson; and a sister, Elizabeth Wilson Botello; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, at noon at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Mike Burke officiating. Interment services will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Shady Grove. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the funeral home. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
