God blessed Gibb Ward and Haley Thomas with a beautiful baby girl, Vera M. Ward, on March 16,
1945, in Tampa.
Vera enjoyed her life to the fullest and leaves many wonderful memories for family and friends. She was a dedicated member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served in the choir. Her love for singing lead her to become a member of the Perry Community Choir.
Vera Ward Greene was summoned by the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, surrounded by her
loving family.
Vera will forever remain in the hearts of: two sons, a devoted caregiver, Anthony Williams, and
Demario (Valerie) Greene; two daughters, caregiver, Shandora Stebbins, and Voncile Dunnell;
12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wardell (Claudette) Ward, Legious (Diane) Thomas and Romeo Ward; two sisters, Virginia (Thurman) Howard and Melody Sullivan; extended family, Trenita (John) White; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held today (Friday) from 5-6 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery.
To promote safety everyone is require to wear face masks and promote social distancing.
