Mr. John Louk, 98, passed away on Jan. 21, 2021, in Perry.
John was born May 8, 1922 in Mill Creek, W. Va., to John Lawrence Louk and Neva Pritt Louk.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, then transferred to the Army where he retired after 21 years at the rank of master sergeant.
He then worked for the Department of Corrections and retired after 21 years also at the rank of colonel.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Merle Louk, and his parents, John and Neva Louk.
He is survived by: one son, John Louk and his wife, Gloria; two grandchildren, Delanie and Josie Louk; and one sister, Gladys Greenhowe, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
