Mary Eunice Moore

Mrs. Mary Eunice Moore, 92, of Perry passed away on Jan. 18, 2021, at Lafayette Health Care in Mayo.

She was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Burgaw, N.C., to William Joseph Rivenbark and Alice Barnhill Rivenbark.

She moved to Perry in 1999 from Hampton, Va., where she had lived for many years.

Mary was a Baptist and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and embroidering in her spare time.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Alice Rivenbark; two daughters, Harriet Rivenbark and Glenda Wheeler; and numerous siblings.

She is survived by: three sons, Billy Moore Jr., Freddy Moore and Ira Moore, all of Perry; three daughters, Mary Joe Byrd and Vernie E. Adkins, both of Perry, and Fannie Hancock, of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Pearl Ivester and Edna Adkinson, of North Carolina; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
