City to flush hydrants

The City of Perry Water Division, in conjunction with the City Fire Department, will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the city and county during the months of February, March and April 2021.

Flushing of these hydrants will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 and continue each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m.

“It would be advisable not to do any laundry on these days,” a City of Perry announcement stated. “You may experience slight pressure fluctuation and discoloration of the water. These inconveniences are only temporary and should clear up within (24) hours.”
