Gun drawn, man beaten over politics

An argument over differing political views and the recent election escalated into violence Friday afternoon when a Steinhatchee man was arrested after beating another man with his own gun.

Nathan Taylor, 31, faces charges of aggravated battery and threatening a witness, while Lori Michelle Peacock, 58, has been charged with resisting arrest without violence after allegedly attempting to block law enforcement officers from entering the residence to assist the victim.’’
