    Meth, guns, cash seized

    Posted on February 5, 2021

Trafficking amounts of methamphetamine and cannabis, as well as cash and firearms, were seized Wednesday when law enforcement — including the TCSO, PPD and Taylor Correctional K9 Team — executed a search warrant at the home of Roger Lee Slaughter.

Responding to complaints from neighbors regarding the amount of traffic “in and out” of a residence on Foley Cut-Off Road, members of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Drug Task Force launched an investigation that resulted in one arrest Wednesday and the seizure of trafficking amounts of methamphetamine and cannabis.

Roger Lee Slaughter, 35, is being held on a $357,000 bond at the Taylor County Jail on charges of trafficking methamphetamine (14 grams or over), possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, sale of marijuana, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug equipment, as well as keeping/maintaining a structure for drug activity (public order crimes).
