FBI is leading investigation into threatening letter sent to TCHS

The FBI has taken the lead in the investigation into a letter received last Thursday, Feb. 18, at Taylor County High School (TCHS) that included a threat to kill everyone in the building and contained a suspicious white powder that ultimately proved to be “one step above talcum powder.”

The Perry Police Department (PPD) and Taylor County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the local investigation, which appears connected to similar incidents that happened in Wakulla County, as well as in Georgia.
