Charges against Lytle reduced to a misdemeanor

The Third Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office has downgraded three felony charges against Taylor County School District administrator Sabrina Lytle in connection with a Labor Day domestic disturbance, and is instead moving forward with a single misdemeanor charge of “improper exhibition of a firearm.”

Lytle was initially charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, aggravated assault (with a deadly weapon without intent to kill), child abuse (without great bodily harm) and battery (domestic violence) in connection with a domestic altercation with her former husband at their residence on Sept. 6, 2020.
