Armed man arrested in Tennille

Two Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) investigators had a close call Monday night when they were confronted by an armed man while stopping to take a break at the convenience store in Tennille near the Taylor-Dixie county line.

TCSO Inv. Kyle Johnson and Inv. Jason Vinson reported that the man, later identified as Richard Lance Methvin, 63, emerged from a cluster of bushes and approached their vehicle carrying a handgun.
