The 13th Annual Fiddler Crab Festival, which was held Feb. 12-14, was a success in spite of poor weather, according to organizer Pam Wessels.
“We managed to make a little money although invoices are still coming in. Entertainment was good on Friday night (Feb. 12) and drew a large crowd,” Wessels said.
Saturday’s weather put a damper on things in the late afternoon, so organizers decided to close the gate at 8 p.m., and entertainment shut down around 9 p.m.
While Sunday was “a wash,” with continuous rain, “everyone there — vendors, volunteers and attendees — seemed to have a great time,” Wessels
said.
“Vendors were so thankful that we had the festival. I’d like to thank all of our volunteers and sponsors who helped make it a success,
Wessels added.
