Iron Horse bog remains stuck

During a debate that lasted more than an hour this week, a majority of the Taylor County commissioners stated they do not want to modify the ordinance governing large-scale mud bog events to eliminate a requirement that waivers must be obtained from adjacent landowners.

The issue came up at the commission’s Tuesday, Feb. 23 workshop, during which the owners of the Iron Horse Mud Ranch once again stated they have no plans to re-open their facility until the provision requiring waivers is removed from the county’s ordinance.
