Local Grand Jury seated Monday

The Taylor County Clerk of Court’s office will begin the process of selecting a grand jury — known as the “sword and shield of justice” — for the spring 2021 season on Monday, March 8.

Some 90 prospective grand jurors have been summoned to report to the local courthouse at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, at which point 15 to 21 individuals will be empaneled by a judge of the circuit court to act as Taylor County’s grand jury for five to six months of intermittent service.
