State to fund $1.4 million road project

The Taylor County Commission had begun advertising for proposals for the construction of Providence Road, a 3,800-foot roadway north of Perry which will connect U.S. 19 and the site of AMTEC Less-Lethal Systems, Inc., (ALS) currently under construction.

The road project is being funded through a $1.4 million Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Economic Development Transportation Fund Grant with no local match.
