Power pole upgrades

Crews working for Duke Energy have been busy installing new poles on an electrical transmission line adjacent to Hwy. 19 north of Perry over the past week.

The Duke Energy pole replacement project is part of the company’s effort to upgrade its transmission facilities and replace wooden power poles with steel ones that last longer.
